First of all, he was really proud of his work. I wish I had a picture of his face when he showed me his drawing. He was so excited to show it off! I remember hearing this odd sound coming from the family room. I couldn't place the noise. It sounded like he was doing something to the wall, then it hit me - "I left his ALONE to COLOR!" Oh no! So I ran in there and found this lovely piece. He explained to me that it was purple and he liked it very much! haha. We had a little talk about how we only color on paper and it hasn't happened since, but I had to take a picture of it, because he was so proud of it, it needed to be preserved, and washed off. :)

I thought Brooke was past this phase. I guess not...I found one of the closet doors covered in stamps and the other day I caught her drawing with a pen on the wall. Our cat saw the mark and thought it was a bug. Hopefully these kids learn quickly that it is not okay to draw on anything besides paper.
Good for you. I love you could celebrate his accomplishments, teach him a more appropriate way and not crush his joy!!!
