This is going to be a boring wordy update, but I think I made up for all the talking with all the pics below. :) Treyson is getting so big and changing every single day, it's hard to keep up! He will be 21 months old on Tuesday and beginning to act like a 2 year old. Oh joy... He talks like crazy! His sentences are getting better with every try. He can run, climb on the couch, grab things off of the counter and has a 2 inch vertical. He eats like crazy! And is definitely a healthy eater. He loves almost every fruit and vegetable we've given to him. The only ones he's turned away are tomatoes and olives, maybe one or two others, but they aren't coming to me. He can smell when I'm cutting up an onion or green pepper and will eat as much as I give them. He loves them! He also loves chicken, chips and fruit snacks. He is a very good milk drinker!
Treyson is OBSESSED with Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story 3 in general), Frosty the Snowman (Froddy Man), and Santa. We've watched those movies more than any other movie ever! He loves T.V. and will watch an entire movie with the occasional interruption to ask for milk or a snack, but he won't get up or take his eyes off the T.V.
He loves his toys right now, and his friends! He talks about his friends and cousins all day long! It love it and it's so sweet! He also still loves to be outside. He begs to get the mail each day and he asks to "cycle" (recycle).
His new routine, that he started is to read Good Night Moon and then say a prayer before bed. He will copy what we say. Tonight he said his first prayer in Portuguese, now THAT was sweet! He also won't eat dinner most nights until we've said a prayer and he prays all throughout the day. I'll just see him go to his knees, fold his arms, and talk quietly until the end when he shouts, "E-man!" (Amen) So fun! It makes me feel like I am doing something right as a parent, even though I think Cory is better and that stuff than I am. Thank goodness for a good spouse! I did a good job at picking him!
Treyson is very cuddly and will give us hugs and kisses all day long. He's never really said that he loves us, but has started saying, "You much!" (Which means, "I love you so much!") So I'll take it! His answer to anything is "No." It can be frustrating at times, but I love his independence. He can help clean up and put things away, get things when we ask him. Cory asked him to get him a blanket the other night and he totally did! He knows most of his body parts and learning to more specific ones like chin, cheeks, knee, shoulder, etc. He can also count to three: "wuh, doo, wee!"
As far as his allergies go, still the same for now. He had an appointment 2 weeks ago and tested 'negative' for the soy extract, but showed a slight reaction to fresh soy milk. We got his blood drawn yesterday to compare the blood results against the skin and at that point, if his levels for soy are low in his blood, then we can try bringing into his diet! Yay! We have our hopes up, but it will still be another week, at least, until we get the results back. He was an absolute PRO when he got his blood drawn. The last couple of times we did it last year didn't go as well as we had hoped. So this time we had that boy pinned down! Turns out, we didn't even need to hold him. He didn't even flinch! He was so good and I was so proud! He's also continuing to grow! Yay! He's up to about 23 lbs and 32 inches. Thank goodness! I feel so lucky, not only to be his mother, but to just know him! He exudes happiness and is so peaceful. He brings the Spirit into our home and I can feel that he has a relationship with Heavenly Father. When he says his simple little prayers, I feel like he knows he's talking to someone. He talks about Jesus, the temple and Moroni being on top of the temple every day. He is smart, FUNNY, sweet, polite and the other love of my life! It's rare if he asks for something without saying 'please' and 'thank you.'
I love this little boy with all of my heart! I hope that one day I can give him the world!
