Finally! No more carpet in our bathroom! I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put carpet in the bathroom.... But it's no longer a part of our lives! Wa hoo! And look at how great it looks! Cory and Hans really did a great job! It was slow going for a while, until we finally just gave in and rented the tile saw. We used our tile breaker for the first bit and then just broke down and made our way to Home Depot. I feel like the employees are becoming a part of our family. I didn't think that purchasing this home would force us to practically live around their hours of operation. But I tell you what, I could help you find tile mortar and paint brushes with my eyes closed. It sure has been fun though. You can also see the wood floors we have picked out as well as the general idea for our carpet. Our plan is to lay the wood floor throughout most of the main floor, replacing the warped and damaged floor we have right now. We are also going to have the new carpet installed in the family room. Eventually we'll make our way upstairs with the new flooring, but all in good time. Neither one of us can wait to see the transformation, it will look fabulous! :)
Other than that, life is going pretty well for the two of us. We're currently working on a change or two in our professional lives, more details to follow when we have more information to provide. But for now we just look forward to the end of each day when we can just be home. We also had a great visit with Mom and Dad. I got some uninterrupted time in which they were pretty much forced to dote on me and listen to my every word! But they enjoyed it, I'm sure. (As would anyone in that position, what can I say? I'm irresistable.) So I guess I can say I'm fairly confident they'll be back. :)
